Égaré is an artistic project started for four young Spanish Saxophonists who studied in the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Castilla y León. Égaré is a chamber group characterized by a flexible repertory. This quartet is focused on performing new music. They have played pieces of composers such as Iannis Xenakis, Henri Pousser, Massimo Botter, Robin Hoffmann, Hugues Dufour, Felix Ibarrondo, Fabien Lévy or Franco Donatoni. They also perform transcriptions of the big historic repertory written for string quartet like for example “American quartet” by A.Dvorak or “string quartet N.8” by D.Shostakovich.
As a chamber group they have won the 1st prize in the “Juventudes de Ávila chamber music competition”. Égaré offers regularly courses in different cities of Spain: Mota del Cuervo (Cuenca), Villalba del Alcor (Huelva) or Arjona (Jaén).
